The Ting Kau Bridge in Hong Kong is one of the few multi-span cable-stayed bridges ever built, and with 1177 m (3862 ft.) of cable-supported deck, it is currently one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world.
The arrangement of separate decks on both sides of the three towers contributes to the slender appearance of the bridge, while acting favourably under wind and typhoon conditions. Each deck carries three lanes and a hard shoulder.
Provided independent consultancy, and the chief surveyor, to provide methodology, training and supervision for the joint venture’s survey teams.
Worked together with the erection engineer / 3D static modeler – to match construction stage analysis with optimum survey measurement opportunities.
Provided management of sub-contracted anchor box and deck girder fabrication geometry control teams in Shekou, PRC.
