The Chenab Bridge is a dual track railway arch bridge under construction in India. It will span the Chenab River, between Bakkal and Kauri, in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
When completed, the bridge will be 1,315 m long, with a 480 m trussed arch span, 359 m above the river Chenab and a 650 m long steel viaduct on the Kauri side. This accomplishment will set two world records for steel railway bridges – for height above the valley floor and clear span across the valley gorge.
